| Holiday Apartment in ‘La Nogalera' – Torremolinos Torremolinos Is located 7 km west of Malaga Airport, and is easily reached on arrival by either taxi or train. A taxi will cost between 16–20 Euros. The train station is opposite the Airport terminal. Trains (destination Fuengirola) take 10 min, run every half-hour at 14 & 44 min past the hour, cost app. 2 Euros. Trains stop underneath the town square in Torremolinos, which is only two minutes walk from the apartment. La Nogalera This popular complex comprises of four ‘sister-blocks', which are set in private gardens. Within the gardens are two swimming pools for exclusive use of clients. (NB The pools are closed during Winter months) The complex has the added advantage of 24 hour manned security combined with automatic entry systems. Situation La Nogalera is situated in the heart of the town, and close to restaurants, supermarkets, bars, clubs, train station, and of course… the beach! The golden sandy beach (10-15 mins. walk) on the Paseo Maritimo extends east to Playamar and west to La Carihuela, the famous fishing village, with fish restaurants and stalls running the length of the sea front. The Apartment This spacious apartment (82 m²) sleeps 4/5 and consists of: A large twin-bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A separate shower-room/WC. A very large lounge, with a private/curtained-off sofa bed area. Also within the lounge are a second sofa-bed and dining area. Facilities include Satellite TV with UK channels, DVD & CD players. A separate fully equipped kitchen. A large balcony, which overlooks the pools and gardens. The balcony also has a washing machine. Sightseeing Torremolinos is ideally placed for sightseeing. Nearby is the historic city of Malaga, with its Roman amphitheatre, Cathedral, Picasso gallery & museum, and Moorish castle. Trains from Torremolinos take just half an hour, are very cheap, and take you directly into the heart of the city. (Depart 18 & 48 min past. Return 00 & 30 min past) Within easy reach by car are the towns of Ronda (famous for panoramic views and Spain's first bull-ring) and Mijas (a pretty mountain-side village with sea-views). Along the coast lies Nerja, famous for its underground caves. Inland the famous ‘Golden Triangle' cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba can be reached in a couple of hours by car on Spain's quiet motorways. These cities make an ideal ‘full-day' out. For families a real treat is a day at ‘Tivoli World' in Benalmadena Costa, lying between between Malaga and Fuengirola. This ‘Disney-style' theme park offers rides, shows and entertainment for adults & kids alike.
